Despite Covid-19 restrictions, J C White has been busier than ever during the first four months of 2021. We have been out and about conducting topographical, scanning and boundary surveys for a broad spectrum of private and commercial clients. Likewise our setting out engineers have been flat out on both ongoing and ad hoc projects and, as ever, our boundary department has been kept busy with a steady stream of enquiries.
In February we started a major scanning and 3D modelling project for Bouygues UK Ltd at the 26-storey Maydew House in Bermondsey, SE London. Our work kicks off the London Borough of Southwark’s ambitious regeneration plans for the 1960s tower block.
We were also busy over the winter months on two extensive surveys of the A249 near Sittingbourne. Kent County Council identified two major junctions where there were likely to be future capacity problems due to planned housing and commercial developments in the vicinity. The surveys we have conducted will therefore inform the carriageway improvements to accommodate the growth in demand and improve both pedestrian and vehicle safety.
